Head of Student Records, Quality Assurance & Enhancement

Salary: £64,887 per annum
Location: Fife

We are seeking a strategic thinker with strong attention to detail to join our team in managing the processes involved for an effective student journey, ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and leading the evaluation processes that inform continuous improvement of the learner journey.

The Role

Reporting to the Assistant Principal – Improvement, Insight & Brand, you will lead a multidisciplinary team across the student records, quality assurance and evaluation functions.

As Head of Student Records, Quality Assurance & Enhancement your key responsibilities will include overseeing the management of processes and activities related to the student journey from the point of enrolment through to destination, whilst ensuring the integrity of data.  Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance frameworks across academic programmes to ensure adherence to internal and external standards.  Efficiently lead and manage the development of effective quality review and enhancement processes aligned to the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework (TQEF).

You will collaborate with academic areas supporting the curriculum planning activity and processes ensuring it is aligned to statutory requirements and meet Scottish Funding Council (SFC) guidance.

Working with colleagues across the college and with other stakeholders to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse and interpret data to inform decision-making and strategic action planning.

Qualifications and Experience – what we’re looking for:

  • Educated to degree level or with demonstrable relevant professional experience at SCQF level 9 or above.
  • Experience of working within an FE or HE environment with specialist knowledge and significant demonstratable experience in the broad areas of students’ administrative processes and procedures.
  • Experience in managing teams, delivering solutions and planning for excellence within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of quality improvement and evaluation principles, processes and frameworks.
  • Significant experience in the production and collation of complex data analytics with experience of turning insights into action.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
